NICK GOODWIN SELLS NHG TIMBER LTD
TO A MBO
Dear Friends
I am delighted to announce that I have sold NHG Timber Ltd to the next generation. The MBO consists of Ben Goodwin, Guy Goodwin and Stuart McBride.
I will continue to manage the business for the next five years and during that time prepare the new management team for the future.
I will admit that when I signed the final papers on 8th April 2009, I did have a tear in my eye (which is an unusual emotion for those who know me well)! I am delighted that my chosen team share the same determination and drive to take the business forward in the coming years and I am confident that they will maintain the same close links with yourselves and look forward to the challenges ahead.
I started the business in 1981 and have spent my working life in the timber trade and I can honestly say that every day I wake up I look forward to going to work, a claim many people around the globe would be unable to make. I have dedicated my life to the business and now believe that it is time for others to take it to the next tier. On a personal note, I look forward to new challenges in my life as I have no intention of putting my feet up just yet. I do, of course, hope to pursue my sporting interests with more vigour and have the opportunity to travel with Teresa to parts of the world that we have not yet visited.
I very much look forward to the next five years and working with your company and as always I am available at any time should you wish to discuss any matters relating to trade.
